When someone comes to me wanting to change how they look or feel, nutrition is always part of the conversation. And the first thing I have to undo is years of diet culture messaging that has made eating feel like a punishment.

Cutting carbs. Skipping breakfast. Living off salads. I've heard it all — and I've seen the damage it does. Not just physically, but to a woman's relationship with food.

Food is not the enemy. Restriction is.

When you undereat, your body doesn't perform. Your training suffers, your sleep suffers, your mood suffers. And then you wonder why you're not making progress — when actually you've just been running on empty.

What actually works is understanding what your body needs at different times of day, around your training, and for your specific goals. That looks different for everyone. There is no universal plan that works — which is exactly why I build one for each client individually.

The goal isn't a six-week diet. It's a way of eating that you can sustain, enjoy, and build your life around. That's what creates lasting change.
